Safe and Easy College Pranks

Going to school should be to have fun, so there are many safe and easy college pranks that you can play on your friends. Beware, though: You may be the object of similar practical jokes!

Play pranks with eggs.

Laughter and playing are part of staying healthy. The saying about "All work and no play" making Jack a dull boy is perfectly true. Playing jokes on your friends is a way to break the tension of university life and studying.

Another good reason for playing safe and easy college pranks on people you know is that the shared laughter makes for good times. You aren't as likely to remember sitting in class or studying when you look back on your college years, but you will remember the pranks that you and your friends played on each other.

The idea of playing pranks is to have fun while staying safe. Here are a few things you want to avoid when trying to decide what to do to have some fun with your college friends:

• Vehicles in motion
• Toxic chemicals
• Ingesting anything that will make the victim sick
• Use of a weapon

The idea here is have a good laugh, not to do anything that will involve getting law enforcement involved. If you are not sure whether you should pull the prank, it's probably a good idea not to go ahead.

When you are thinking of having some fun with your fellow students, safety is a prime consideration. No doubt you already have other things to occupy your time, so you will want to stick to something that will be relatively easy to pull off. Here are some examples that you may want to consider:

For this one, all you need is a few eggs. Ask the victim whether he or she will let you crack three eggs over the top of his or her head for $100. The offer of some cash may tempt the person to agree to your request. Crack two eggs on their head and be sure that the yolk breaks for maximum effect.

The person will be waiting for you to crack open the third egg and hand over the cash. Instead, you inform your victim that you won't be cracking open the third egg, and that your deal was for three eggs. Start running as you add that you don't owe them a thing!

It would be doubly cruel to play this prank on the person who just got their scalp full of raw eggs from the Cracking Eggs Trick, but here is another example of one of a safe and easy college prank you can play on someone. Take the person's bottle of shampoo and substitute baby oil for the contents. Instead of having clean, manageable hair, your victim will be called "Greasy-Locks" until he or she has washed the hair a number of times.

This one will take a bit of time, so you will need to find some time when you aren't likely to be disturbed. Take several spools of thread and some tacks and set up a giant spider web throughout the room. You can wind it around furniture and other objects to create the desired effect. The victim will need to spend several hours removing the thread from the room.

If you are involved in playing a prank on someone at college, you may not want the victim to know that you were involved. He or she may not suspect you if you say something sympathetic and offer to clean up or help out in some way. That way, you lessen the chance of a retaliatory prank being played on you.
