Pranks to Pull on Friends

If you are looking to pull a few pranks on friends and you don’t have a lot of time, the following pranks are sure to get a few laughs.

Drinking Ketchup

The lunchroom is just ripe with opportunities to prank unsuspecting friends. This prank is quick and the materials are easy to find. All you need is for your friend to leave his or her lunch unattended, a packet of ketchup, a straw and a drink that isn’t in a can. First, tear off a corner of the ketchup pouch, large enough for the straw to fit in. Next, take off the lid of the drink, or if it is a milk carton, make sure the opening is wide enough for the ketchup packet. Put the straw in the ketchup packet and put it back into the drink. Put the lid back on or close the opening of the milk carton so it doesn’t appear to have been tampered with. Sit back and enjoy.

Mouse Binder

A great way to be annoying in computer class- and all you need is a post it note and a computer mouse (preferably not your own). Place the sticky part of the post it note over the little light on the bottom of the computer mouse or the roller ball. Make sure that no one can see any of the post it note (the mini-sized ones work the best). Guaranteed to drive most people crazy trying to figure out why their mice won’t work. Get bonus points if you get to class early and do this prank to all of the mice in the room. Guess how many people will reboot computers before your prank is figured out?

Large-scale Pranks

If you want to pull off large-scale pranks, you’ll need to enlist a group of willing participants. Be warned, however, that doing any of the following pranks may result in detention!

Forks Ahoy!

This prank calls for two things- hundreds of plastic forks and a large number of friends to assist you. The more people and forks you have, the bigger the prank. Planning the prank requires that you decide on where the forks will be placed (tines pointing up) and where the prank will occur. If you do this on school property, you also need to know when the security guards are around in the evening and where the security cameras are. Most students who do this prank either do it on an athletic field, in a commons area in the rear of the school, or if you are really brazen, the front lawn of the school. The key to this prank is having lots of people help so it can be done very quickly. Tip- don’t try to do this if the ground is frozen, but you can do it in the snow!

Pennies from Heaven

Have you ever wanted to avoid going to class? You can if you have lots of pennies (nickels and quarters work too) and a bunch of friends to help you out. The trick is to get to school early and determine which doors you want to keep closed. To begin this prank, make sure no one is in the classroom- they’ll hate you later if you get them stuck in the room. Begin with two pennies and wedge them between the door and the door frame (while the door is shut). Continue jamming pennies in the door- usually 10 pennies is enough if you get them in tightly. The only way to get the door back open is to use a knife or screwdriver to pop the pennies back out. This prank is great way to waste time in the hallway and put off that exam you’ve wanted to avoid. Enlist the help of your friends to jam as many doors as possible before school starts in the morning!

• Use rock salt to write your class year on the grass where everyone can see it. Use plenty of salt to kill the grass quickly. In several days, your class year will magically appear written in the grass
• Go to the pet store and buy lots of crickets- let them loose in random areas of your school
• Put a real estate company’s for sale sign in front of your high school
• Fill a tree in the front of the school with bras or jock straps
